On July 4, 1817,
construction began on the Erie Canal. Now,
in 2017, we are celebrating the 200th anniversary of that amazing
engineering feat. In 2015, we biked the
entire Erie Canalway, from Buffalo to Albany, 366 miles. And we published our experiences in our book
titled, “Bicycling the Erie Canalway Trail, Tips
and advice for your adventure(s)”. To
learn more about the Erie Canal and our travels along it, go to the blog on www.rogerfulton.com website, under “Erie
Canal Trek 2015” (http://eriecanaltrek2015.blogspot.com/)
and hopefully you can share in our adventures and plan for your own.
