 Based on my book and course by the same name, this Safe in the Woods Powerpoint presentation will be presented in two afternoon segments, January 5 and February 2nd, both at 4 pm at Debary Hall in Debary, Florida. These classes are free and open to the public.

I'm back in Florida for the Winter

 I'm settled in Deland, Florida until May of 2023. I arrived October 20th after a 26-hour ordeal with Amtrak's Auto Train. Then 12 days without hot water at my apartment. Then the hurricane hit!

So in reality we're just getting started with outings and events in Central Florida. If you are a biker, I will usually lead  a bike ride on the Spring-to-Spring Trail out of Lake Beresford Park in Deland every Friday afternoon at 3 pm. 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 12

INDOOR: Many elusive creatures and unusual habitats are hiding in Central Florida. You just have to know where to look. In this classroom presentation, Master Naturalist and author Roger Fulton will discuss places you may never have heard of, even though some are in your own backyard. Learn about the Sherman’s fox squirrel, the Florida scrub jay, a coastal strand area with unique plant life, and a host of other great places to enjoy nature.
