Monday, January 15, 2018 - 3 pm About a 6 mile hike at Longleaf Pine Preserve, Route 44 near Deland, Florida with Funcoast 50 Meetup group. Space is limited so register with them.
Wednesday, January 17, 2018 – 3 pm Bike ride at a location yet to be determined. Moderate pace and no one left behind. Contact me for details.
Friday, January 19, 2018 – Bike ride at Lake Beresford Park in Deland, Florida. Up to a 15 mile, moderately paced ride. Depends on the group. No one left behind. 
Saturday, January 20  - Powerpoint Presentation – What’s in Your Backyard? - Invasive Species in Florida. Master naturalist to discuss invasive species
Roger Fulton will present What's in Your Back Yard? Invasive Species in Florida” at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at DeBary Hall Historic Site, 198 Sunrise Blvd, DeBary.
The master naturalist will explain who the invaders are, where you might find them, and what to do about them. He will highlight the worst of the invaders – killer plants, snakefish, great pythons and anacondas.
Fulton has published a series of trail guides for Florida, New York and Vermont. His publication, “Safe in the Woods,” offers outdoor safety and survival tips.
His presentation is part of the Lemonade Lectures series. Light refreshments and lemonade will be served. Reservations are not required. For more information, contact Tracy Mestre at 386-668-3840 or tmestre@volusia.org.
Sunday, January 21, 2018 – 3 pm Nature and Birding Tour sponsored by the West Volusia Audubon Society at Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge in Deleon Springs, FL – Space is limited so Register with them.
Wednesday, January 24 – 3 pm Bike ride Location TBA – Contact me directly for the location
Friday, January 26 – 3 pm Bike Ride out of Lake Beresford Park in Deland, Florida. Distance and pace to be determined by the group. No one left behind.
Sunday, January 28 – In Search of Shermans Fox Squirrel at Deep Creek Preserve off of Route 415 in New Smyrna Beach, FL – Through the Meetup group Funcoast 50. This event is currently full with a waiting list. Sign up through them for a possible spot.
