Nature Hikes at Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge

  Mud Lake Road, Deleon Springs, FL (edit map)
• Mud Lake Road turns to dirt. Follow it down past the railroad tracks and the Myacca Parking Lot is on the right. Then look for Roger's red Jeep.

  The loop hammock trails are no longer flooded and are wide open. We will incorporate them in a hike covering a little over 3 miles. (We have never done those on these hikes in the past.) It will be a casual pace stopping frequently to explore what we find. The terrain is flat and open. Wear good footwear and no open-toed shoes. We may encounter some areas of light mud, so don't wear those brand new, lily white sneakers you just bought!  Bring water. You may want to arrive a little bit early to tour the small Nature Center on Mud Lake Road before you head down to the hike site. No dogs. Questions?
