Here are the details:

Spring Nature Hike at Lime Hollow near Cortland

3:00 PM to 4:30 PM
·         1st Gracie Road Parking Area
Gracie Road - Crossroad/ Lime Hollow Road, Cortland, NY(edit map)

·         Join naturalist and author Roger Fulton on a 3 mile trek along the trails on the Lime Hollow Preserve. We'll explore how the flora and fauna are waking up to this new season we call Spring. The trails are easy to moderate with little elevation change. Good footwear is recommended. Hiking shoes or boots are best. The pace will be moderate with frequent stops to enjoy and discuss what we find along the trails.
Sorry, no dogs allowed on this portion of the preserve.
We will meet at the 1st Gracie Road parking area; not at the Visitors Center. Specific directions are as follow:
From I-81 take Exit 12 (Cortland/Homer) and follow Route 281 south for 3.2 miles and turn right onto McLean Road. Follow it 2.0 miles and turn left onto Lime Hollow Road. Take an immediate right onto Gracie Road. Follow it .3 miles and you will see a large parking area with a kiosk on your left. The hike starts across the road from the parking area.
Along the trails we will explore active beaver activities, nesting geese, early wildflowers and a host of other "nature stuff".
You are welcome to join us. Just make a reservation.
