How to join a hike in New York

Many people want to know about the hikes I lead so they can join in. Although I do post some hikes here, most go on specific area Meetup boards.

For the Ithaca/Cortland area, check out the Meetup Group Ithaca Area Hiking and Nature Study Group. You can find them at:  https://www.meetup.com/Ithaca-Hiking-Nature-Study-Group/

For the Syracuse/Cortland area I post for the Syracuse Outdoor Adventure Group on Meetup. You can access them at:   https://www.meetup.com/adventurers-103/

Hope this helps you to be able to join us on hikes and other activities the Summer.

Best wishes, as always.

Adams Eden Trails Update - Closed for now!

On page 80 of our recent book, Short Hikes in the Finger Lakes Region of New York State - Auburn and Syracuse Region we highlighted the trails of the Adams Eden Camp near Lafayette, NY. We had recently heard that they had closed and that the property had been sold this past January. So yesterday we went up there to try to find out about the future access to the trails and waterfalls. We arrived and found "Closed" signs before entering the property. But one of the new owners came down and greeted us. The property is currently closed to the public. They do not have the current insurance policies in place to open it to the public.  All future activities are pending. We'll try to keep you updated as they update us.
Access other trail opportunities in the Finger Lakes Region at: www.Rogerfulton.com or through our publisher: www.commonmanbooks.com
